Ardenforest 100% softwood pellets – 70 bags, 15 kg each
Properties & Specifications
Ardenforest wood pellets are DIN Plus certified and are produced in the Champagne-Ardenne region from a blend of coniferous and deciduous woods with a high calorific value.
These pellets are of good quality and are perfectly suited to all pellet heating systems, such as stoves, inserts and boilers.
They do not have to be 100% softwood. Don’t hesitate any longer – give this wood blend a try. It won’t clog up your heating system, but will provide you with consistent heat and a rapid rise in temperature.
Yes, it is possible to heat your home with pellets that aren’t made from 100 per cent softwood!
A blend of hardwood and softwood creates a natural binding agent on the pellets, ensuring they do not break during pressing and transport to the screw conveyor.
The origin of the wood is very important for the environment. The closer the pellets are produced to your home, the less CO₂ is released.
To ensure a good-quality pellet, the moisture content must be < 10 per cent, the ash content < 0.7 per cent, the dust content < 0.5 per cent and the calorific value > 4.6 kWh/kg.
Information on storage and use
- Storage in a dry place: Once the pallet has been delivered, store it in a place that is sheltered from the rain and well-ventilated (e.g. a carport, shed or under a canopy).
- Air circulation: Avoid direct contact with damp soil and leave a gap of at least 5–10 cm between the plant and the house wall.
- How to cheer properly: Use dry kindling and eco-friendly firelighters. Light the fire from the top down (low-emission lighting method).
- Soot-free combustion: Thanks to its low moisture content, the wood burns cleanly, leaves hardly any ash and is gentle on your chimney.
