Compressed wood, wood briquettes for the night – 960 kg pallet
Properties & Specifications
Compressed wood, overnight logs – 960 kg pallet – Long burning time
These long-burning logs are very handy towards the end of a fire; they are placed on a bed of embers by closing off the air supply to your stove.
They burn for between 6 and 8 hours, ensuring peace of mind whilst you are away or during the night. They have a very low moisture content of less than 7 per cent and a high calorific value of 4.9 kWh/kg. Virtually plastic-free: the logs are simply strapped to minimise packaging.
By using these logs, you help to clean your chimney, thanks to the miscanthus, which dries out the soot. What is Miscanthus? Miscanthus, also known as ‘elephant grass’, ‘Eulalie’ or ‘Chinese silver grass’, is a perennial herbaceous plant from the grass family, native to Africa and South Asia.
– Length: 26 to 29 cm
Information on storage and use
- Storage in a dry place: Once the pallet has been delivered, store it in a place that is sheltered from the rain and well-ventilated (e.g. a carport, shed or under a canopy).
- Air circulation: Avoid direct contact with damp soil and leave a gap of at least 5–10 cm between the plant and the house wall.
- How to cheer properly: Use dry kindling and eco-friendly firelighters. Light the fire from the top down (low-emission lighting method).
- Soot-free combustion: Thanks to its low moisture content, the wood burns cleanly, leaves hardly any ash and is gentle on your chimney.
