PINI KAY wood briquettes – pallet weighing 960 kg
Properties & Specifications
Compressed wood briquettes (PINI KAY) for a vigorous burn and long-lasting embers lasting up to 3 hours.
Ideal for professionals using them in their pizza ovens, grills and barbecues, but also for certain types of stoves such as soapstone stoves, Scandinavian stoves and masonry stoves.
Moisture content below 6 per cent.
Very high calorific value: 18.5 MJ/kg (5.1 kWh/kg).
Very high density; thanks to the central hole, expansion during combustion is minimal.
Perfect for all oven sizes and ideal for small ovens.
Each 10-kg pack containing 12 briquettes is strapped and wrapped in shrink wrap.
The briquettes do not deform and do not produce sparks or splinters during combustion.
The embers produced during combustion remain stable and can be handled with tongs.
The octagonal shape of the product allows it to lie stably on the base of wood-burning stoves.
Performance in use:
The combustion of a Pini Kay briquette takes place in two phases: the first lasts around 30 minutes and produces bright flames. The second phase, in the form of glowing red embers, gradually releases heat over more than 2.5 hours.
In the end, a tiny amount of grey ash residue remains.
The briquettes therefore give off heat for a total of over 3 hours.
Recommendations for use:
The duration for which Pini Kay wood briquettes give off heat varies depending on the type of appliance and is influenced by the air supply, the number of briquettes loaded, the outside temperature and the size of your appliance.
Pini Kay briquettes can burn for anywhere from one hour to over 3 hours.
Information on storage and use
- Storage in a dry place: Once the pallet has been delivered, store it in a place that is sheltered from the rain and well-ventilated (e.g. a carport, shed or under a canopy).
- Air circulation: Avoid direct contact with damp soil and leave a gap of at least 5–10 cm between the plant and the house wall.
- How to cheer properly: Use dry kindling and eco-friendly firelighters. Light the fire from the top down (low-emission lighting method).
- Soot-free combustion: Thanks to its low moisture content, the wood burns cleanly, leaves hardly any ash and is gentle on your chimney.
