1/2 pallet of lignite briquettes – 20 packs of 25 kg each
Properties & Specifications
Lignite briquettes are small blocks of sedimentary rock consisting of 60 per cent carbon.
They are a fuel for fireplaces or wood-burning stoves that can be used at night!
These briquettes are placed in the fireplace or stove at night to ensure you have embers by morning!
You’ll enjoy a cosy warmth all night long whilst saving on firewood.
If you place 4 to 6 lignite briquettes on the embers, they’ll keep the fire going until morning.
When you wake up, all you need to do is place a few briquettes on the still-hot embers, and your fire will be burning again!
Terms
of use Lignite is a sedimentary rock (plant fossil) that is an intermediate fuel between peat and hard coal.
It consists of approximately 60 per cent carbon, is ground, dried and agglomerated into briquettes.
The lower heating value (LHV) of dried lignite is around 20,000 kJ/kg and it can easily replace hard coal. Start by lighting your fire with wood, then place 2 or 3 lignite briquettes on the glowing embers and set the air intake to maximum.
– Length of the log – 18.00 cm
Information on storage and use
- Storage in a dry place: Once the pallet has been delivered, store it in a place that is sheltered from the rain and well-ventilated (e.g. a carport, shed or under a canopy).
- Air circulation: Avoid direct contact with damp soil and leave a gap of at least 5–10 cm between the plant and the house wall.
- How to cheer properly: Use dry kindling and eco-friendly firelighters. Light the fire from the top down (low-emission lighting method).
- Soot-free combustion: Thanks to its low moisture content, the wood burns cleanly, leaves hardly any ash and is gentle on your chimney.
